Takeda Takahashi is the son of Kenshi, a member of the Shirai Ryu and of Cassie Cage's Special Forces unit; his weapons are a pair of bladed whips. After his mother was murdered, Hanzo Hasashi (Scorpion) raised and trained him, as Kenshi wanted him prepared to avenge her.
Lore & Background
He first appears in Mortal Kombat X, helping Cassie Cage fight the forces of Outworld and the Netherrealm and starting a relationship with his teammate Jacqui Briggs; Mortal Kombat 11 says the two are engaged. Mortal Kombat 1 has three versions, including a playable one who is Kenshi's cousin rather than his son and a former Yakuza hitman who turns on the Yakuza.
