Cerberus
The Illusive Man's human-supremacist paramilitary group.
Cerberus is a human-supremacist paramilitary group in Mass Effect led by the enigmatic Illusive Man. It holds that humans deserve a greater role in the galactic community and that the Systems Alliance is too hamstrung by law and public opinion to stand up to the other Citadel races, and it treats any method of advancing humanity as justified, including illegal or dangerous experimentation, terrorism, sabotage and assassination. It was founded after the First Contact War of 2157 by the former mercenary Jack Harper, who published its manifesto and took the identity of the Illusive Man, and both the Systems Alliance and the Citadel Council have declared it a terrorist organisation.
