Lore & Background
Benezia's appearance is meant to capture the beauty and mystical power of the asari while tying her to Saren's malevolence through darker, more enigmatic qualities; her headdress references religious and royal clothing. Early in the game a recording of a conversation between her and Saren mentions the Conduit and the return of the Reapers.
