Drew Doughty (born December 8, 1989) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman and alternate captain for the Los Angeles Kings. He was selected second overall by the Kings in the 2008 NHL entry draft and is a two-time Stanley Cup champion (2012, 2014), two-time Olympic gold medalist (2010, 2014), and winner of the Norris Trophy in 2016.

Lore & Background
Doughty was born in London, Ontario, and began skating at age two. He played soccer as a youth goalkeeper before focusing on hockey. He was drafted fifth overall by the Guelph Storm in the 2005 OHL Priority Selection and twice voted the league's top offensive defenceman. The Kings selected him second overall in 2008.

Doughty made his NHL debut in 2008 and was named to the All-Rookie Team. He was a Norris Trophy finalist in 2010, 2015, 2016, and 2018, winning the trophy in 2016. He helped the Kings win the Stanley Cup in 2012 and 2014, and won Olympic gold with Canada in 2010 and 2014.
