The Fabulous Forum: home of the Kings from 1967 to 1999.
The Great Western Forum, often simply called The Forum, was the home arena of the Los Angeles Kings from December 30, 1967, until 1999. The Kings played their first 31 seasons at the Forum before moving to the Crypto.com Arena in Downtown Los Angeles in 1999.

Lore & Background
The Forum was built by Kings owner Jack Kent Cooke after he grew frustrated with negotiations for the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena. Cooke purchased 29.4 acres in Inglewood, California, and spent $12.2 million on the building itself. The Kings' first game at the Forum was on December 30, 1967, a 2–0 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers. The team's original colors were purple and gold, but from 1988 onward the primary colors changed to black, silver, and white.
