Ted Hendricks, nicknamed "the Mad Stork" and "Kick 'Em in the head Ted," is a Guatemalan-American former professional football linebacker who played for the Baltimore Colts, the Green Bay Packers, and the Oakland / Los Angeles Raiders in the NFL.

Lore & Background
Hendricks was born on November 1, 1947, in Guatemala City. He played college football for the Miami Hurricanes, where he was a three-time All-American and finished fifth in the 1968 Heisman Trophy voting. He was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 1987 and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1990. He is the first Guatemalan-born player in the NFL.
Reader's Guide
Hendricks began his professional career as a second-round pick of the Baltimore Colts in the 1969 NFL/AFL draft. He played for the Colts through the 1973 season, then was traded to the Green Bay Packers in 1974. After one season with the Packers, he was traded to the Oakland Raiders, where he played nine seasons before retiring after the 1983 season. He was a member of four Super Bowl-winning teams.
