He led the Raiders to four playoff victories, including the first Super Bowl win by a wild card team, and threw for 261 yards and three touchdowns in Super Bowl XV to earn MVP honors.

Reader's Guide

Plunkett is one of only two eligible quarterbacks (along with Eli Manning) to have two Super Bowl wins as a starter without being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He also won the Heisman Trophy in 1970 and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1990.
