Lore & Background
Early in the series Kise calls himself the weakest of the Generation of Miracles and notes that the other members all have abilities he is unable to copy. That changes when he develops Perfect Copy. In the Inter-High quarterfinal against Tōō he sets out to copy Aomine's style, acknowledging that his admiration of Aomine had kept him from copying him, and he completes the copy in the third quarter.
Reader's Guide
Kise resorts to the Perfect Copy in the Winter Cup quarterfinal against Shogo Haizaki's Fukuda Sogo, which Kaijo wins 75–72. In the semi-final against Seirin he opens with it: he returns Midorima's full-court shot, overcomes Kagami with Akashi's Emperor Eye and blocks Kuroko's Phantom Shot by combining Aomine's agility with Murasakibara's defense, stopping when the score reaches 13–2. When he returns late in the game despite a leg injury, he also copies Kuroko's Ignite Pass.
