Murasakibara's Block
A wall of flesh and bone that simply… takes the ball away from you.
Murasakibara's Block is the defense of Atsushi Murasakibara, formerly the center of the Generation of Miracles, who now attends Yōsen High School in Akita. At 208 cm he is the most physically gifted player even among the Generation of Miracles, and his long strides make him very fast: he can singlehandedly defend the entire area within the three-point line.

Lore & Background
In the Winter Cup game against Seirin, Yōsen takes an 18–0 lead toward the end of the first quarter. Murasakibara blocks an open Kagami's shot, and his reflexes let him block Kagami's dunk off a lob from Kiyoshi. His physical dominance stifles Seirin's offense until Kagami unlocks the Zone and Seirin wins.
Reader's Guide
Kuroko explains that Murasakibara does not like basketball but plays to win and is good at it, and he is usually lazy and unmotivated. In the Winter Cup semi-final between Kaijo and Seirin, Kise uses a copy of Murasakibara's block to stop Kagami.
