Special Grade Sorcerers

Special Grade Sorcerers are the few sorcerers who hold the Special Grade rank in the Jujutsu world. Yuki Tsukumo is described as one of the four special grade sorcerers; Satoru Gojo, Yuta Okkotsu and, before he became a curse user, Suguru Geto hold the same grade. The most prominent is Satoru Gojo, called the strongest sorcerer in the modern Jujutsu world, whose power and influence keep order; sealing him is the first step of the plan carried out in Shibuya, and chaos erupts once he is removed.

Lore & Background

Satoru Gojo is a Special Grade sorcerer and a teacher at Tokyo Jujutsu High. He is identified as Megumi Fushiguro's teacher and the strongest sorcerer in the modern era. His power was such that his presence maintained order within the Jujutsu world, and a group of intelligent Cursed Spirits, led by Suguru Geto (later revealed to be Kenjaku), orchestrated an elaborate attack specifically to seal him away. Gojo's battle with Ryomen Sukuna is a key event: after being unsealed, he fought Sukuna and nearly won, but dropped his guard, allowing a weakened Sukuna to fatally bisect him.

Another Special Grade Sorcerer is Yuta Okkotsu, a second-year student who was appointed by the Jujutsu higher-ups as Yuji Itadori's executioner. Loyal to Gojo, Yuta instead helped Yuji fake his death. Yuta later beheads Kenjaku while Fumihiko Takaba keeps him distracted, and afterwards uses Kenjaku's copied Cursed Technique to enter Gojo's body and fight Sukuna.
