The Death of Sanguinius
The Angel's last stand and death at Horus's hand.
Sanguinius, Primarch of the 9th Legion, the Blood Angels, is fated to die. In the final stage of the Siege of Terra, with the Khan near death and Dorn beleaguered at the Bhab Bastion, it falls to him to rally the defenders and refugees for one more stand at the Delphic Battlement.
Lore & Background
The Emperor, with Dorn, Sanguinius, Valdor and their best warriors, teleports aboard the Vengeful Spirit to confront the Warmaster. There Sanguinius is met by the shade of his fallen brother Ferrus Manus, Primarch of the Iron Hands, who guides the Angel to his final confrontation with Horus. In a gruelling battle Horus kills Sanguinius and crucifies his corpse in the Lupercal's Court.
