The Exorcists
Heaven's angelic army, sent down each year to cull Hell's sinners.
The Exorcists are the angels Heaven sends to Hell each year in Hazbin Hotel to carry out the Extermination, a purge of sinners meant to manage Hell's overpopulation and prevent any rebellion. Armed with angelic weapons that can permanently kill a sinner, they are led by Adam, the first man, with Lute as his second-in-command. They are the main antagonists of the first season.

Background
The Exterminations target the Pride Ring, the only ring where sinners live. Vaggie was once an Exorcist until she spared a demon child and was cast out by Lute. Carmilla Carmine killed an Exorcist to protect her daughters and discovered that angels can be killed by their own weapons, which she salvages and sells after each purge. In "The Show Must Go On" the hotel's residents and the cannibals of Cannibal Town fight the Exorcists: Adam is killed by Niffty, Sir Pentious dies and is redeemed, and Lute escapes. Afterwards Adam's meek son Abel becomes the new head of the Exorcist army, with Lute remaining his lieutenant.
On screen the Exorcists wear masks and grey uniforms, carry spears of "angelic steel", and take sadistic pleasure in the hunt; they rely on their weapons rather than armour. The idea of the Extermination was pitched to the seraphim Sera by Adam, and only Sera and the Exorcists were supposed to know about it until Adam accidentally revealed it to all of Heaven in "Welcome to Heaven".
