Background
Sera is the angel who permitted Adam to carry out the Exterminations and kept the annual purge secret from the rest of Heaven, until Adam accidentally revealed it to everyone. In "Welcome to Heaven" Emily, who had looked up to Sera, learns the truth and vows to help Charlie. In season two Sera confronts her remorse after Sir Pentious's arrival in Heaven proves Charlie right, and she allies with him to show all of Hell that redemption is possible before Vox can attack Heaven. In the finale Emily loses a wing trying to save Alastor. Sera is a lesbian; Emily is LGBTQ.
On the fan wiki's description seraphim have three pairs of white wings rather than one, crown-shaped halos, and an otherworldly angelic form covered in eyes alongside a humanoid one. Sera warns that a seraphim who questions Heaven's system of judging souls risks falling as Lucifer did.
