Meridian
The human mining colony where Blue Team and Fireteam Osiris cross paths in Halo 5.
Meridian is a human colony world in Halo 5: Guardians. Master Chief receives a cryptic message from Cortana directing him there, and Fireteam Osiris is sent to Meridian to bring Blue Team back.
Lore & Background
Once part of the story was set on Meridian, 343 Industries decided one of Osiris's Spartans should have grown up outside the UNSC and survived her home planet's destruction, to help players understand the world. The developers also changed a planned fountain on the barren mining world into a holographic tree, to show its people simulating nature.
