Ur-Didact
The original Didact, the Forerunner warrior released in Halo 4.
The Ur-Didact is the original Didact of the Forerunner Saga novels, distinct from the Iso-Didact, Bornstellar, on whom he imprinted his consciousness. Presumed dead after being captured by the Master Builder, he was in fact abandoned in a Flood-infested system, where he was captured and tortured by the Gravemind, which severely shook his sanity.
Lore & Background
During Halo 4 the Ur-Didact is accidentally released from his Cryptum by the Master Chief and Cortana. Deeming humanity unworthy of the Mantle of Responsibility, he takes control of the Prometheans and the Covenant faction and attacks the UNSC Infinity.
