Plot

In the video game Spy Muppets: License to Croak, Kermit the Frog takes on the role of Agent Frog, a character modeled after James Bond. He works for Agent Patriot, played by Sam Eagle, who is based on M and leads the spy organization M.U.P.P.E.T. The game begins with Agent Patriot briefing Agent Frog on three villains whose suspicious activities require intervention. Agent Frog can choose the order in which to pursue them. The first is King Prawn, portrayed by Pepe the King Prawn, who heads S.H.E.L.L., the Secret Hidden Evil League of Lobsters. The second is Piggy Galore, played by Miss Piggy, a parody of Pussy Galore who was once a top M.U.P.P.E.T. agent but now operates as a rogue from a warehouse hideout. The third is Dr. Nose, played by Gonzo, a parody of Dr. Julius No who plans to transform Earth into a giant egg from his lair in a frozen wasteland.

Each mission has four stages. First, Agent Frog builds a vehicle—a boat, a convertible car, or a snowmobile—in a mechanical tool-selecting construction level. Then come two levels where he travels to and fights or avoids the villain’s henchmen, such as mechanical lobster claws, pigs, or chickens. The final stage is a boss fight against King Prawn, Piggy Galore, or Dr. Nose. If Agent Frog’s health runs out, he is rescued by Agent Rat (Rizzo the Rat), Agent Argh (Animal), or Agent FFF (Fozzie Bear), depending on the mission. For example, Agent Argh breaks down a steel door to free him, and Agent FFF knocks out the Swedish Chef to prevent Agent Frog from being cooked.

After defeating a villain, Agent Frog delivers one of the villain’s gadgets to agents B and B, played by Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker. Once all three villains are beaten, B and B reveal themselves as Statler and Waldorf. They kidnap Piggy Galore and use a machine built from the three gadgets to cause chaos. Agent Frog defeats them and hands them over to Agent Patriot. Piggy Galore survives the kidnapping with no memory of her evil deeds, and she and Agent Frog sail away on a spy boat into the sunset as the credits roll.
