Story

The story takes place between 20X1 and 20X7, a time when advanced science has nearly eliminated human disease, leading to overpopulation and scarcity. Industrialized nations lacking food form the United Forces to seize agricultural lands, while threatened nations unite as the Allied Forces to resist invasion.

Gameplay

Gameplay resembles the predecessor Airforce Delta, with the player controlling aircraft to engage enemies and complete missions. A new feature is the World Map, where the player moves their aircraft across checkpoints to reach missions; some checkpoints can be recaptured by the enemy, and the aircraft's Range determines how far the player can travel without engaging foes. Upon locating a mission icon on-screen, the player flies toward it and selects it. Three control levels are available: Novice simplifies pitch, yaw, and rolls; Expert allows manual control of these maneuvers; and Ace adds an airbrake feature and a throttle that stays in place after releasing the speed buttons.
