Background
Stark is kind and well liked, especially by children and older villagers, but he is also a coward who is terrified of monsters and whose hands shake before a fight, much like his master. When it matters he finds the courage to fight even at the risk of his life. His older brother Stoltz died when demons invaded their village, giving his life so that Stark could escape. Trained hard by Eisen, Stark can take blows that would kill most people and believes that as long as he can get back up he has not lost; he killed a Solar Dragon with a single axe blow and later fought the Demon General Revolte. He carries a scar on his forehead from Eisen striking him in fright, and wears a bracelet Fern gave him for his eighteenth birthday.
