karrigan

Background

Andersen was introduced to Counter-Strike by his brother around 2001 and was competing by 2006 in the 1.6 era. He joined Fnatic on 25 March 2012 and won various tournaments with the team. With the arrival of the CS:GO scene he moved to mousesports later that year, saying the offer was very good and that the Fnatic lineup did not have what it took to be great in CS:GO. On January 25, 2015, Team SoloMid picked up the Team Dignitas roster he led, and that July TSM placed third to fourth at ESL One Cologne 2015. After the players left TSM in December 2015 they formed Astralis, registered as a Danish company with venture backing from Sunstone Capital and angel investment from Tommy Ahlers.

He transferred to FaZe Clan in October 2016, spent 2019 and 2020 with Mousesports, and returned to FaZe in February 2021. In 2022 FaZe won IEM Katowice 3-0 over G2 Esports and karrigan, at 32, lifted his first Major at PGL Major Antwerp 2022, then the oldest player to do so. He led FaZe to both 2024 Major finals, Copenhagen and Shanghai, and to the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 final, losing all three.

After FaZe missed the Cologne Major 2026 entirely, he left on 20 April 2026 and was announced the same day by Team Falcons as replacement for kyxsan. Falcons beat Vitality and Team Spirit in the playoffs and swept FURIA 3-0 in the final, giving the organisation its first Major and karrigan his second, at 36 the oldest winner once more. He holds a master's degree from Copenhagen Business School.
