Background

Saukants began his professional career with Epsilon Esports in January 2019 and moved to FaZe Clan that September, winning BLAST Pro Series: Copenhagen 2019 in his first months. His breakout came in 2022: FaZe beat G2 Esports 3-0 to win IEM Katowice, where HLTV named him tournament MVP for the first time, then took ESL Pro League Season 15, the PGL Major Antwerp 2022 with a 2-0 final over Natus Vincere, and IEM Cologne 2022 against the same opponent 3-2.

He added a second MVP at the BLAST Premier Fall Finals 2022 and was voted the sixth-best player of the year. FaZe reached the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 final, losing 1-2 to NAVI, won IEM Chengdu 2024 over Mouz with broky as MVP again, and lost the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 final to Team Spirit.

With more than $1,000,000 in winnings he is Latvia's most successful esports athlete and the first from the country to cross that mark. HLTV has ranked him in its top 20 every year from 2021 to 2024.
