PUS-Basket is the basketball arm of Aalto University School of Science (formerly Helsinki University of Technology), based in Espoo, Finland. The club fields its teams in Finland’s third- and fourth-tier basketball leagues.
The parent organization, PUS (Polyteknikkojen Urheiluseura, or Aalto University Sports Club), was established in 1910 to oversee all university sports. PUS-Basket itself was founded in 1981, marking its 35th anniversary in September 2016. During the 2015–16 season, the club had three teams—two men’s and one women’s—totaling about 40 members. In addition to basketball, PUS runs ice hockey and volleyball teams, and offers other student sporting activities.
