Sons of Behemat

Gargants united after the death of Behemat, growing toward a new World Titan.

The Sons of Behemat are the gargants of the Mortal Realms who found a shared purpose after the death of Behemat and now fight as one; in the Age of Sigmar game they are a Grand Alliance of Destruction army of colossal gargants, often treated as forces of nature. Gargants of every kind are feared for sheer size and strength: with no natural predators they hunt, eat people whole, drink stolen ale, sleep, and flatten settlements simply because they can.

Since Behemat's death they are no longer the slow-witted brutes the smaller races could outfox, forming near-unstoppable war parties, and some say one of them may grow large enough to become a new World Titan. Their history is an oral one, kept by the tribes' matriarchs and told to inspire ambition and mythic violence rather than caution: Ymnog the First Titan, Grandfather of Gargants, shattered reality with his club, and the gargants grew from the stones in his belly until Behemat brewed a moonshine so foul that Ymnog retched them up; Behemat alone escaped, hammering his father's fangs into splinters that became the first mountains.
