Violent matriarchal race of militarised human clones.

The Grineer are a violent, war-driven matriarchal race of militarised human clones, one of the factions the Tenno fight across the Origin System. Like the other factions they descend from the fallen Orokin Empire.

Lore & Background

The quest The War Within introduced the Grineer Queens, the rulers of the Grineer, and their asteroid-based Kuva Fortress. Brainwashed Grineer units also appear among the Corrupted, which defend ancient Orokin towers.
