The Operator
The human child who is the real Tenno behind the Warframes.
The Operator is a human child revealed by the Stalker on Lua to be the real Tenno controlling the Warframes throughout the game. The Operator is one of several Tenno children who survived the passage of the Zariman Ten Zero colony ship through the Void, where all the adults went mad; the children were put to sleep for thousands of years and later found by the Lotus.
Lore & Background
Later in the game the player gains direct control of the Operator, the Tenno's true physical form, who can project out of the Warframe and resume control of it through Transference, and who has weapons and abilities of their own. The War Within quest let the Operator act fully as a playable entity rather than a single-use attack, and the Operator can also use Transference to pilot a Necramech. The Cephalon Ordis refers to the player as Operator, and the mysterious Man in the Wall most often takes the Operator's own appearance.
