Journey Through Other Worlds

Lore & Background

The sage Avallac'h explains that, as Lara Dorren's last descendant, she must bear a child with the Aen Elle king, Auberon; Eredin Breacc Glas tells her the elves will never let her go. The unicorns reveal that she can bypass the barrier by boat, and the unicorn Ihuarraquax helps her jump worlds, staying behind when Eredin's riders catch up so that she can escape.

Reader's Guide

After jumping between several worlds and times without finding her own, Ciri meets Nimue and Condwiramurs in the far future, who conjure the right portal for her. While jumping across time and space she accidentally causes a pandemic of "red death". At the start of the novel she tells her story to Sir Galahad by a lake in ancient Britain, and at its end the two ride toward Camelot.
