Hearts of Stone is the first expansion pack for the 2015 video game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, developed by CD Projekt Red and released on 13 October 2015. An adaptation of the Polish folktale of Pan Twardowski, it follows Geralt of Rivia as he comes into contact with a mysterious man known as Gaunter O'Dimm and his connections to Olgierd von Everec, a cursed nobleman.

Geralt accepts a contract from the nobleman Olgierd von Everec to slay a giant toad monster, during which he reunites with his old acquaintance Shani. Gaunter O'Dimm offers to help Geralt escape in exchange for a favor: collecting a debt from Olgierd, whose contract requires that three wishes be fulfilled for him by proxy. Olgierd makes the wishes virtually impossible: to entertain his deceased brother Vlodimir, to retrieve Maximilian Borsodi's house, and to bring back a long-withered flower he gave to his ex-wife, Iris. Geralt learns that Olgierd made a deal with O'Dimm, who is implied to be a powerful demon, to restore his fortune and marry Iris, and that O'Dimm twisted his words by giving him a "heart of stone".
Reader's Guide
When O'Dimm arrives to collect Olgierd's soul, Geralt can do nothing, in which case O'Dimm kills Olgierd and claims his soul, or come to Olgierd's defense and stake both their souls in a wager. In the end Geralt beats O'Dimm in a trial of his own construction, forcing him to release both of them, and Olgierd, freed from his heart of stone, vows to start life anew. Hearts of Stone received highly positive reviews from critics.
