Background
In the Old World capital of Altur'Rang, Richard inspires its people, Nicci included, to question their moral code; they rebel against the Order, and Nicci lifts her spell on Kahlan and joins the fight against Jagang. After Warheart she leaves Richard and Kahlan with Nathan Rahl in the Nicci Chronicles: the witch Red gives her a vague prophecy that she will save the world, and her journeys take her across the Phantom Coast and into the ancient city of Ildakar, where she helps overthrow its leader and faces General Utros's army of stone soldiers.
