Background

While TTD is active, time slows until its meter runs out; the meter drains faster when the player acts and very slowly when standing still, and refills over time. It shows information about enemies and lets the player aim at individual body parts to cause crippling effects - shooting an enemy's legs, for example, cripples them. The fan wiki notes that the mechanic draws on Fallout's V.A.T.S. but plays more like the bullet time of Max Payne.
