Timmy Turner
The average kid no one understands, and his fairies' godson.
Timothy 'Timmy' Tiberius Turner is the ten-year-old main character of The Fairly OddParents, described by the theme song as 'an average kid that no one understands'. His parents neglect him and leave him with his cruel babysitter Vicky, and after a year of her torment he was given fairy godparents, Cosmo and Wanda, and later a fairy godbrother, Poof, whom he wished for.

Background
Mary Kay Bergman voiced Timmy in the Oh Yeah! Cartoons shorts, and after her death in 1999 Tara Strong took over for the rest of the original series. His wishes tend to backfire and are usually undone at his request by the end of the episode. He loves comic books, video games, cartoons and sports, and has a big overbite; a time-travel trip reveals that his pink hat comes from his parents having expected a girl. Butch Hartman called Timmy his alter ego and first thought of the surname Taylor, dropping it because it was too close to Tim Allen's Home Improvement character. Timmy does not appear in A New Wish, which reveals that Cosmo and Wanda stayed his godparents until he was 17.
