Aldmeri Dominion
The elven state the Empire fought in the Great War.
The Aldmeri Dominion is an elven separatist state covering most of south-west Tamriel, led by the intolerant Thalmor sect, which holds that elves are racially superior to humans. Before The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim the Empire fought a horrific war against it; the Great War ended in a stalemate and the weakened Empire signed the White-Gold Concordat, under which the Dominion annexed the Bosmer province of Valenwood.

In The Elder Scrolls Online, set in the Second Era, the First Aldmeri Dominion, represented by an eagle and led by Queen Ayrenn, is one of the three alliances warring over the Ruby Throne.
