Satan

The fallen angel implied to stand behind every demon the Warrens face.

Satan, also called the Devil, is the ultimate embodiment of evil in the Christian belief that frames the Conjuring Universe. Created as a beautiful and powerful angel, he grew proud and led a failed rebellion against God, and was cast out of heaven with the other rebel angels to rule the fallen and oppose God and humanity.

Background

Within that framework he is named the father of lies and tied to darkness, sin and spiritual corruption, a deceiver who tempts people off God's path. Across the Conjuring films Satan has been referred to several times but has never appeared in a physical form; he is implied to be the ruler or object of worship behind every demonic antagonist the series has shown so far.
