Gumball Watterson

Gumball Tristopher Watterson, born Zach Tristopher Watterson, is the title character of The Amazing World of Gumball: a mischievous 12-year-old blue cat who lives in Elmore with his family and goes to Elmore Junior High with his adopted brother Darwin and his younger sister Anais. "The Club" revealed that his middle name was supposed to be Christopher but was misspelled as Tristopher on his birth certificate, and in "The Name" he found out that his legal first name was Zach, used it for a while, and then had it changed to Gumball. He has been dating Penny Fitzgerald since the events of "The Shell". First shown as well-meaning but naive, he later became more serious, sarcastic and capable of logical thinking; for all his big ego and his habit of overreacting, he is loyal, straightforward, good-natured and protective of the people he loves.
