Penny Fitzgerald

Penelope "Penny" Fitzgerald is Gumball's classmate and, eventually, his girlfriend in The Amazing World of Gumball. Voiced by Teresa Gallagher, she is a shape-shifting fairy who for a long time appeared as a peanut with antlers: under her shell is a yellow, fairy-like form that changes with her emotional state, and she comes from a family of shapeshifters who hide their true forms behind shells, something her parents found deeply inappropriate in "The Transformation". Like Gumball she has trouble expressing her feelings; generally nicer and more level-headed than him, she can still stoop to his level. She belongs to the Elmore Junior High cheerleading and synchronized swimming teams with her cousin Leslie, and she and Gumball became a couple after "The Shell".
