Elmore Junior High
Where every student is a different species and reality bends to the plot.
Elmore Junior High is the school attended by Gumball Watterson, his brother Darwin, and his sister Anais, along with many other students from the animated world of Elmore. It is the central setting for much of the series, where students of every conceivable species—from cats and goldfish to clouds, bananas, and balloons—navigate the trials of adolescence. The school serves as the primary stage for the show's blend of slapstick comedy, surreal situations, and character-driven stories.

Lato, an obsessive fan of Gumball and Darwin; Leslie, an effeminate daisy who is Penny's cousin; Alan Keane, a light blue balloon who is overly nice; Carmen Verde, a cactus who is a leader and Alan's girlfriend; Teri, a hypochondriac paper bear; and Hector Jötunheim, a gentle Bigfoot-like giant who is the largest student.
