Richard Watterson

Richard Buckley Watterson is the father of Gumball, Darwin and Anais in The Amazing World of Gumball: a 38-year-old pink rabbit and stay-at-home dad who spends most of his time sleeping, watching TV and playing video games. Called "the laziest person in Elmore", he has an enormous appetite, is naive, is often called dumb, and sometimes dresses as a woman under the name Samantha. He loves pulling pranks and laughing at people but hates it when the joke is on him; for all his lethargy and childishness he cares deeply for his family and often ends up as the third wheel on his sons' misadventures. He is voiced by Dan Russell, who returned for the 2025 revival.
