Plot
After the death of his father, 42-year-old Stephen Nichols expects to take over the family pub, the John Barleycorn, in Stroud. His plans are disrupted by Andrew, a former foster child who lived with Stephen's parents years earlier. Andrew charms the family, while Stephen, a failed lawyer, sees him as a dangerous sociopath threatening to steal his family and business.

Back received critical acclaim. The first series scored 100% on Rotten Tomatoes from 20 reviews, with an average rating of 7.6/10. The second series scored 95% from 19 reviews, averaging 7.7/10. Metacritic reported a combined score of 85 out of 100 from 12 critics.
