Reception
The pilot attracted positive reviews. David Chater in The Times noted snappy banter between Mangan and Horgan, and said Anthony Head as their boss steals the show as a pervy old goat delivering an unending stream of uncensored filth. Gareth McLean in The Guardian found the tale of two colleagues who have casual sex and deal with the aftermath very funny. When the series first broadcast, the Sunday Express attacked the show for bad language, reporting the word "cunt" was used three times and "fuck" 22 times. John Beyer from Mediawatch called the obscene language appalling and said it showed disregard of public concern from a public service broadcaster.
