Background
She first contacts the Hacker on 6 November 2072, after they wake from the healing coma and pick up their multimedia data reader. She sums up the six bad months of mutations, a rogue AI and a possible strike from the mining laser, says she knows all about the Hacker and Edward Diego, and promises to clear the Hacker's record if they make things right. Through e-mails and cyberspace logs she passes on information, directions and hints, though SHODAN interrupts her several times.
She warns that SHODAN is downloading herself into Earth's computer network, is helped near the end by Morris Brocail and Elizabeth Taggert, and convinces TriOptimum to let the Hacker blow up the station. She was set to return in System Shock 3 before plans for that game changed. Her portrait in the original game is a scanned photo of Sara Verrilli of the QA team; Helen Dunsmoir voiced her in 1994 and Rachel Messer in the remake.
