Yui
SAO's counselling AI who became Kirito and Asuna's adopted daughter.
Yui is an artificial intelligence in Sword Art Online, formally the Mental Health Counselling Program, version 1, made to watch players' emotions and step in to listen and help. In SAO she first seems to be a lost child, and she later travels with Kirito in ALO.

Lore & Background
Once the players were trapped she was barred from contacting them and could only watch their distress, until the calm, happy feelings of Kirito and Asuna drew her to them; she appeared as a child with no memory and the pair adopted her. Cardinal, the system that runs SAO, almost erased her, but Kirito saved her by moving her data into his own NerveGear. In ALO she returns as a Private Navigation Pixie and helps Kirito and Leafa look for Asuna. She calls the two "Daddy" and "Mommy" and bristles when other girls flirt with Kirito, and Kirito later builds a device that lets her see and talk with the real world. She has a human form and a pixie form, barefoot in both.
