Suguha Kirigaya is the younger sister of Kazuto Kirigaya. In Sword Art Online, she operates under the avatar name Lisbeth, a blacksmith who forges a new sword for Kirito after he unlocks a unique skill: Dual Blades. Later, she enters Alfheim Online under the avatar name Leafa, where she agrees to guide Kirito to the top of the giant World Tree in order to rescue Asuna. During this journey, Kirito learns Leafa's identity as Suguha, and Suguha reveals her feelings for him in the real world. After a fight that culminates with both letting down their guard, they hug and apologize. Leafa lets go of her feelings for Kirito and helps him rescue Asuna from the top of the world tree.
