Lore & Background
Argo published the beta test version of information about the 1st Floor Boss, Illfang the Kobold Lord. The raid party relied on this information, but the boss's weaponry and attack patterns differed from the beta. This discrepancy led to Diavel being killed by the monster while attempting to obtain the Last Attack bonus. The resulting hatred for beta testers threatened to go out of control, leading Kirito to falsely claim that a majority of beta testers were withholding information, creating the category 'Beater'.
