Static hissed through Darrow's comms, cutting across the void between two drifting monoliths. He gripped a stolen spear, his breath fogging the inside of his helmet as he watched the red dot on his wrist display blink closer. Three other Adepts were hunting him—predatory insects in gleaming suits against the endless black. The gravity here was fickle, tugging one moment and pushing the next, turning every movement into a gamble. Crouching behind a fractured boulder, Darrow listened to the rhythmic thrum of a jetpack approaching from above. In this graveyard of rock and ice, there were no friends, only prey and predators.
