Plot
It begins on a sunny day when Frogger and his friend Lumpy are hanging out. Frogger spots a moon fruit up in a tree and goes to grab it. When he returns, Lumpy has wandered off with a strange metal thing on his head. Frogger chases him to the beach and learns it is a mind control helmet. The villains are a crocodile called Dr. Wani and his assistant Ronin. Frogger must jump, swing, and fight his way through levels to stop Dr. Wani from taking over the world. How the story ends depends on the player's choices.
Gameplay
Frogger: Helmet Chaos blends the classic 1981 arcade challenge with modern platforming touches. Each level tasks Frogger with dodging traffic to cross the road. On the Nintendo DS, the action shifts from top to bottom, while the PSP version requires a 90-degree console tilt. Boss battles appear after several stages. The story offers multiple endings, determined by where and how the player finishes levels. As an extra, the original 1981 Frogger arcade game is included.
