Gameplay

The PSP version brought back all 120 original levels, added 36 new ones, included expansion pack support, and featured a user level editor. Each level used pre-rendered 3D scenery while keeping the 2D gameplay true to the classic. Players could create levels from pre-rendered objects and share them on a PlayStation-specific Lemmings online community. In October 2006, Rusty Nutz ported the game to PlayStation 2 with EyeToy support, letting players move their limbs to help the lemmings. A 2012 remake by d3t for PlayStation Mobile introduced touch controls and similar graphical upgrades.

Reception

The PSP version received generally positive reviews, holding a Metacritic score of 76/100 from 46 critics. IGN rated it 7.8/10, praising the graphics and level editor but criticizing the sound. GameSpot gave it 8/10, commending the polished visuals and audio, the level designer, and the online sharing feature.
