Thunderobot

Last updated

Known as 雷神 (Léishén) to Mandarin speakers, the brand aims to offer superior gaming experience through in-house design and user feedback.[1] Qingdao Thunderobot Technology Co., Ltd. trades as THUNDEROBOT and is a Chinese computer hardware firm whose product line includes gaming notebooks, desktops, and peripherals.[2]

Key facts and history

In 2019, THUNDEROBOT became an official sponsor for Suning Gaming, a top-tier team in the League of Legends Pro League.[3][4] In late 2025, THUNDEROBOT released the "Black Warrior" gaming PC built around the Chinese Hygon C86 CPU, marking a milestone for domestically-built processors capable of running AAA games.[5][6] After its 2014 founding, THUNDEROBOT concentrated on selling within China before it began expanding internationally.[7] THUNDEROBOT built a localized R&D, manufacturing, and marketing system, which allowed it to reach 45 countries and regions and serve roughly 10 million users.[7]

THUNDEROBOT uses a dual-driven strategy called "Esports + ITAI" (Xin Chuang) to grow its business in enterprise and government markets with domestically developed technology.[5] More than 300 ITAI projects in finance, education, and healthcare receive hardware from THUNDEROBOT.[5]

What the cited sources add

THUNDEROBOT's CEO Lu Kai Lin stated that Malaysia was the first Southeast Asian country to introduce the company's products.[1] The company's flagship gaming laptop DINO featured a 15.6-inch full HD IPS display with an Intel i7-7700HQ processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 GPU at its 2018 Malaysia launch.[1] The ZERO Air gaming laptop uses Intel's Panther Lake Core Ultra 9 386H CPU and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series GPU, delivering 50% better multi-core performance with 30% less power.[8] The Hygon C86-4G processor in the Black Warrior Hunter Pro features 16 cores, 32 threads, and 32MB of L3 cache.[6]

The C86-4G is an x86 processor that runs Microsoft Windows and compatible applications, unlike other Chinese domestic processors based on Arm or RISC-V architectures.[6] The Thunderobot MIX Mini PC was the first to integrate an RTX 40 series graphics card into a Mini PC, using a mobile RTX 4060 with a 95W power consumption standard.[9]
