Sauble Speedway
Ontario short track oval hosting weekly stock car racing since 1969.
Sauble Speedway is a quarter-mile paved oval track for stock car racing, situated east of Sauble Beach in Hepworth, Ontario. Its regular season runs from May through September, with weekly Saturday night races and additional Sunday night events on long weekends.
The track first opened in 1969 as a dirt surface, then was paved before the 1971 season. Its weekly program includes the Sauble Late Model class, four-cylinder Epic Racewear Bone Stocks, Sauble Steel Body Hotrods, ImageWraps Legends, and Junior Late Models. Touring series that regularly appear include the APC United Late Model Series, Ontario Sportsman Series, OSCAAR Modifieds, Hot Rods and Pro Sprints, the Ontario Outlaw Super Late Model Series, Can-Am Midgets, and INEX Legend Cars.
Local business owners Paul and Lia Gresel bought the speedway in 2017. It gained NASCAR sanctioning in 2018 and joined the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series. Jeff and Tina Cassidy became partners in 2021. John Karley was named General Manager in 2022, and Brad Holmes took over that role in October 2023. In 2025, the site began hosting the Sauble Beach Party, a concert festival.
For 2026, the schedule features the same touring series as previous years, along with a revived Street Stock class—V8 cars with older body styles, typically fourth-generation Chevrolet Monte Carlos.
