Michael Schumacher is a German former racing driver who competed in Formula One from 1991 to 2006 and from 2010 to 2012. He won a record-setting seven Formula One World Drivers' Championship titles.

Schumacher was born in Hürth to a working-class family. He began competitive kart racing aged four. He won the German Formula Three Championship in 1990 and also claimed the Macau Grand Prix. He made his Formula One debut with Jordan at the 1991 Belgian Grand Prix.
