Lore & Background
Players can adjust conditions, quarter length, fatigue, injuries and penalties. There is no season mode, only single games, and with no NFL or NFLPA licence it has no real teams, player names or stadiums, though some teams are modelled on real ones and players can build a team from scratch. It is sometimes called Madden '88 or Madden '89.
