Lore & Background
It was the first in the series with the official NFLPA licence, so players appear under their real names, and the Genesis version was the first Madden with both NFL team logos and NFLPA licensing. It was also the first to show black NFL players as black, rather than all white as before, and the first to put black athletes on the cover. Rosters and ratings follow the 1994 season.
