The Grand Prix of St. Petersburg is an IndyCar Series street race in St. Petersburg, Florida. In most years since 2009 it has opened the season.

Lore & Background

The circuit uses downtown streets and a runway of Albert Whitted Airport. The event goes back to 1985; Indy cars first raced there in 2003. It is held in spring, except in 2020, when COVID-19 pushed it to October.
